EP. 7: Allgäu LIVE IN

“I will never learn that much again in 3 years…”

Episode 7 is about Allgäu Live In Verlag, a publishing company where Vinzent has completed an internship and his apprenticeship. He had a lot of hard tasks, high responsibilities, little free time and even less daylight! Joking aside – it was also very educational, formative and fun. He met a few people whom he will never forget. Just listen to the episode and see what happened to Young Vinz in the 3 years!

Here is a excerpt from the interview with the statement of Kollegah to Vinz.
Kollegah’s Instagram

In English: So – Vincent, I greet you! And um, I hope you are celebrating a proper bossy birthday. Eighteenth birthday is of course a decent caliber, because you have to deliver. And I also greet all my fans in Kempten and supporters. I’ve never performed in the city – I’m very excited, I’m happy. I’ve been performing live for 11 years and have never been to Kempten before, so I’m sure it’ll be a nice day and I’ll try hard to put down a great show. I am looking forward to the day.

“crackkid.png” – yep this was his application cover for the apprenticeship. At least it was outstanding and creative.

just wtf – how did this kid get the job.

I could not find the pictures from the one-way camera of the farewell party. I’m sorry. Thanks for listening & reading the blog!

Retrospective 1 – 6

Review and analysis of our first 6 episodes and where we are going from here.

First of all thank you to everyone who has listened so far.  We are having an incredible amount of fun creating the podcast.  There is so much to learn and improve upon as this process continues. We received a recommendation from a friend to do a “Retrospective”.  It is a tool and methodology utilized as part of the creative process. Basically take a quick break from plowing forward, review what your initial goals were when you started your creative en devour, analyze how it has gone thus far, and finally re-calibrate you goals for the next step in the journey. That is what this “shorter” non-episode of the podcast is.  Vinz and Brian sit down and discussed how they feel everything is going so far. They also review the feedback they have received  after putting the podcast out there.

The boys got some new gear.

After experimenting with a new recording set-ups for each and every episode so far, investments were made. Two SHURE SM85 microphones and a ZOOM H6 Audio recorder with some mic stands the podcast set-up is looking more and more professional.

Not convinzing?

One of the main criticisms thus far about the show is that the title “convinzed” is misleading. The title imply s that the one of the hosts will take a controversial topic and take a hard stance or opinion and try to convince the other host to change his mind. This is NOT the guys vision or intention for the show. It is meant to be a fun and easy listen. As a matter of fact, both Brian and Vinz are very easily convinced! The show is meant to take a topic and present their own stories and experiences in order to try and convince both the other host and the listening audience that the topic is cool.

The term convinzed actually comes from Brian and Vinz’s joint projects doing media design work and consulting for a number of different small companies. Helping companies to make their messages and communications more “convinzing”. They hope expand the brand and scope of this work in the future.

So the name of the Podcast will remain the same. Just get used to it folks! The boys will try to do better in the future to explain the concept in order to avoid confusion.

Thanks again to everyone. You can reach us to send feed back at convinzed@gmail.com. Please keep liking and subscribing on social media and your favorite podcast platform. It really helps us grow and promote the show. We are gonna do our best to keep the content coming and we hope you enjoy.

EP. 6: China

“The furthest possible distance away from where I was living…”

Episode 6 is titled China.  Brian is up this week and trying to “convinz” Vinz about China.  Brian has had the fortunate advantage of being able to travel the world multiple times over.  One of the places he is able to visit frequently is China.  From his first trip back in 2007 to his frequent trips over the past 3 years Brian has some very interesting insights and impressions in one of the largest and most powerful countries in the world.  Much of the stories and input shared by Brian is completely new and foreign to Vinz but his questions steer the conversation in a bunch different directions.  This episode should be interesting to listeners who know a lot or a little about China.
